Adam Gladue, AIFD
Adam Gladue, age 26, is a second-generation floral designer adopted from Seoul, South Korea and raised in rural Iowa where he grew up in his mother’s flower shop. Residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Adam attained his CFD accreditation in 2017 and was inducted as a fully accredited member of AIFD in July of 2019.
Currently designing with Arts & Flowers Design Studio in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Adam’s creative range encompasses all areas of floral design including; Weddings/Special Events, Corporate, Celebration of Life, Everyday, Custom Home Installations, Collaborative Avant-Garde Photoshoots, Freelance and Professional Education.
Until recently, Adam’s creative passions led him to life in the culinary industry where he became a chef, trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley. After reacquainting himself with his roots in floral design, Adam studied at the Koehler & Dramm Institute of Floristry to continue on in his mother’s footsteps. It was there where Adam realized the many similarities between the culinary and floral arts and traded in his chef’s knife for his florist’s knife. Adam’s respect for fresh ingredients, pursuit of excellence, and attention to detail learned in the kitchen helped him to quickly become a well-rounded floral designer.
Since entering the floral industry in the fall of 2015, Adam has accomplished and participated in the following:
-2017 Koehler & Dramm Wholesale Florist Designer of the Year
-2018 Minnesota State Florists Association Designer of the Year
